Who We Help

Typically, the families we help are working families who do not qualify for assistance from other public or charitable organizations. Not every family who applies will be contacted by us or receive help, but we try to help as many families as we can based on need. We do not serve families who have received assistance from the Forgotten Children’s Fund within the past five years.

Application Process

We must receive your application no later than December 16. The sooner you apply, the more likely you will be helped this year.

The screening process begins in the fall. Three phone call attempts are made to reach each applicant. We do not leave voicemail messages, because there is no way for you to return our calls. If you have not been contacted by December 18th you should seek assistance from other programs.

Include the following Information in your letter:

-First and last names of all adults in the household and their relationship to the children

-Street address including apartment number, city, state and zip code

-Phone number and the best time to reach you and e-mail address

-First and last name of each child (include age, gender, coat size and height)

-Family Situation: please be specific and let us know why you need our assistance this Christmas. This is your opportunity to explain your family situation (include any recent hardships).
